I noticed that IA is missing only The Nasty Rabbit from having the complete films of Arch Hall Jr. Not that I'm a fan, but I'd like to see it here, and watch it as a guilty pleasure. It would be PD if the film is missing a valid copyright notice.

The last few frames appear to have a valid copyright notice. It's fuzzy, but at 1:21:57 there's the word copyright, a date, a holder, and All Rights Reserved. Are we sure this is PD?

Other articles I've read have said that it "became" PD in the 1990s, but since it's 1964, wouldn't it be exempt from renewal based on the 1992 Act? That is, if it was ever registered.

I checked to see if the movie was registered in the period 1964 to 1966 under The Nasty Rabbit or Spies a-go-go. It wasn't. It didn't need to be other than for legal evidentiary purposes.

Movies published after 1963 up to 1978 just needed a valid copyright notice to be registered and automatically renewed.

Is this the copyright notice you're referring to? It isn't valid. It's missing the name of the production company.

Oops. Posted in wrong forum. Sorry. You're right, the owner's name is missing.

It's available from Alpha, so it's probably missing it's notice.

Seconded. Don't know why, but Arch Hall Jr movies hit that late-night, brain-dead sweet spot for me.

"Wow-zee-wow-wow Roxy!"
